| Lynn Jenkins has been
a nature enthusiast ever since she grabbed a toad in her
backyard as a kid. She remembers bees on the clover in
the lawn, and butterflies in gardens, a time before our
backyards became toxic zones. She remembers looking up
at the night sky with her father who would point out the
Milky Way before light and pollution dimmed the skies.
She remembers when fishing was a fun way to catch dinner,
before the fish became inedible, contaminated with mercury
because our lakes and streams are polluted from coal burning
plants. |
|
Seeing the destruction of our natural resources and remembering
the past joys of nature were the motivations for her to publish
Indiana Living Green. The bi-monthly magazine offers ideas
and resources for readers to make changes. Lynn truly believes
that every person's individual acts can make a difference
in our future. She believes we don't have to "save
the world," we just each have to make small changes
to protect our future.
